12/30/2011 Tiberi Files to Run in Redrawn 12th District
Pat Tiberi files to run in Ohio’s 12th Cong. District
For Immediate Release: December 30, 2011
Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-Genoa Township) today filed petitions to run in Ohio’s newly redrawn 12thCongressional District. The district includes all of Delaware, Licking and Morrow counties as well as parts of Marion, Muskingum and Richland counties and the northern portion of Franklin County.
Today marks the first step in a campaign that will focus on getting our country back on a fiscal path to prosperity. Over the last year, House Republicans, led by Speaker John Boehner, have passed bills that have cut needless government bureaucracy, repealed the government takeover of our healthcare system and provided a predictable business environment for America’s job creators, only to see them die from inaction in the Senate or from the threat of veto from President Obama. As Americans, we have an opportunity in the coming year to change Washington inaction by electing candidates who will fight against the government’s job creation roadblock and exploding government debt and spending.
“I have been honored by the privilege to serve the people of Ohio’s 12th Congressional District” said Tiberi. “I am humbled by the support I have received to continue my fight for pro-growth policies and fiscal responsibility. I am excited to continue my work on fundamental reform of our federal tax system, repealing Obamacare, passing a balanced budget amendment and paying down our national debt.”
